Ribfest

Canadian people must be the people who enjoy the summer best in the world. As soon as the summer coming, there were various activities everywhere. Among them, the Scarborough Ribfest has become one of summer’s highlights in Toronto.

Friday morning, our class drove straight to Thomson Memorial Park where the Scarborough Ribfest was. Though it’s early, a lot of people had waited the delicious for a long time. Each BBQ store had their unique huge billboards behind them. Tau and trophies, declared their glory and history, were displayed in the front of the shops. Each shop has its own character. The Blazin BBQ’s chef could play the knife and fork up and down when he was cooking. Surprisely, the chef of BIBB’S BBQ was a young lady! She also was the winner of 2012. Maybe because of the beauty and tasty, the line of this store was the longest one.

If you’re not a rib-kind-of-person…well, do not be disappointed. Actually, there were plenty of other things to enjoy, such as pulled pork sandwiches, blooming onions, and kettle corn. There’s also beer. The festival also was a kids-friendly event, because there were many games and rides-a-plenty in the kids’ zone.

Sitting under the tree, enjoying the delicious, basking in the sunshine, sharing interesting things with classmates, it is really amazing. All of us enjoyed it very much!
